Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

   This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of using jigsaw learning model on students’ economic achievement on the topic offer at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak Julu. The research was conducted by using experimental method with 30 students as the sample and they were taken by using random sampling technique. Test and observation were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analyzes, it could be found that a) the average of using jigsaw learning model on the topic offer was 3. 35 (good category) and b) the average of students’ economic achievement on the topic offer before using jigsaw learning model was 65.23 (enough category) and after using jigsaw learning model was 81.1 (good category).Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using ttest, one tail, the result showed that ttable was less than tobserved (1.701<9.36), it means, there is a significant influence of using jigsaw learning model on students’ economic achievement on the topic offer at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak Julu.
