MENEGOSIASIKAN RUANG DI PERBATASAN: PENGETAHUAN LOKAL DAN PRODUKSI SPASIAL OLEH MASYARAKAT ADAT NAPAN

Abstract
Artikel ini mengkaji proses produksi ruang oleh masyarakat adat Napan yang hidup kawasan perbatasan Indonesia-RDTL. Bagi masyarakat adat Napan kawasan perbatasan bukan hanya tentang fungsi ekologis, tetapi juga merupakan entitas simbolik dan spiritual yang dipertahankan melalui sruktur sosial, sistem pewarisan marga, hukum adat serta praktik budaya kolektif. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis in-depth interview dan focus group discussion serta dianalisis melalui kerangka teori produksi ruang oleh Henri Lefebvre, artikel ini mengeksplorasi dinamika representasi ruang antara negara dan komunitas lokal. Negara memandang ruang melalui pendekatan teknokratis dan legal-formal, sementara masyarakat adat memproduksi ruang berdasarkan relasi historis dan simbolik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan kompleksitas cara pandang masyarakat terhadap ruang, dalam hal ini kawasan perbatasan karena itu pengakuan terhadap pengetahuan dan representasi spasial lokal menjadi hal yang patut dipertimbangkan terutama dalam perencanaan pembangunan.
