Abstract

This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of giving learning motivation on students’ accounting achievement on the topic accounting basic equation at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Batang Angkola. The research was conducted by using descriptive quantitative with 32 students as the sample and they were taken by using total sampling technique. Test and questionnaire were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of learning motivation was 2.65 (good category) and b) the average of students’ accounting basic equation achievement was 78.47 (good category). Furthermore by using inferential statistic by using ttest, it could be found ttable was less than tcalculated (1.697<6.43). It means, there is a significant influence of giving learning motivation on students’ accounting achievement on the topic accounting basic equation at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Batang Angkola.
