Abstract

             This study aims to improve students’ spatial ability by applying TAI model at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1Pinangsori. The approach of the research was Class Action Research with 31 students as the subject by using 2 cycles. Collecting data used test, and observation sheet.  The result of the first cycle showed the average of students’ spatial ability was 61.78 (good category) and 41.93% students was passed (13 students) and the second cycle showed students’ spatial ability was 87.2 (very good category) and 83.87% students was passed (26 students). It is concluded, applying TAI model was able to improve students’ spatial ability at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1Pinangsori.
